FAQ'S

can you do last minute bookings?

We can do last minute bookings for bouncy castle rentals, if we have them available. Call us today and book your bouncy castle!

How long can I hire a bouncy castle for?

A minimum of 4 hours and a maximum of 6 hours.

I Only Need The Inflatable For A Few Hours. Do You Do Discounts For Shorter Hires (1-3hrs?)

No. It has been suggested in the past that as equipment may only be needed for a few hours that we would have the opportunity to rehire the equipment again on the same date and as such that may be worth a discount. Unfortunately in reality this simply isn't the case. The majority of parties take place within half or even an hour of one another and on the rare occasion that the timings may allow for this the logistics involved in order to deliver, collect, clean and then redeliver equipment to another area is entirely prohibitive and actually increases our costs rather than decreasing them in order to pass on any saving. Our cost to serve for fixed time or shorter parties is actually much greater than for the average hire as it's often unviable to send drivers onto another job in another location only to return straight back to collect and involves additional costs in doing so. Despite the extra work and in many cases additional costs involved we do not charge a premium for fixed time hires or shorter parties however are unable to offer discounts on this basis.

Can a Bouncy Castle go indoors?

Yes, it can.

How much access space is needed to get a Bouncy Castle in?

Approx 1.5 metres for most bouncy castles. Please ensure that water heaters or air conditioning units are not blocking the access. Please enquire if you are not sure. If there are any stairs that need to be used, please make sure that there are additional people to support the driver carry the castle up the stairs.

How much flat area do we need?

As our bouncy castles vary in size, please check in the descriptions of our Castles for the sizes and allow 1-2 metres space around the area. When pacing out a space, remember to look up and check for overhanging trees.

What surface can a Bouncy Castle go on?

Grass is the most suitable surface. Please advise prior to booking for dirt, concrete, paving, asphalt etc. Not mud or gravel.

Before setting up the bouncy castle, kindly ensure the ground or surface on which it is being set up is level, clean, stable and free of any pebbles, sharp stones or any other object which could cause damage to the inflatable. Also check the height to which it will inflate and ensure it will not touch or snag on branches, roof extensions or any other such structure. The electric extension / connection cable to the blower must not run underneath the bouncy castle or where children may be playing or have access. Ensure that an area around the unit is completely clear as it can shift during use.

Can the Bouncy Castle be in contact with walls or trees?

No, the bouncy castle can suffer abrasion damage if it is in direct contact with branches or walls. When we deliver the bouncy castle we will place it so as to avoid contact with these damaging surfaces.

We booked ages ago, do you ring to confirm?

Yes, we email or text the week of your castle hire to confirm arrangements.

How does the Bouncy Castle stay blown up?

The bouncy castle is not a sealed unit. It is therefore continually filled with air which comes from an electric blower. The blower is connected to your power supply by a sealed, heavy duty extension cord supplied by us.

How long does it take to set up?

Around 15 minutes, depending on the site and the size of the bouncy castle.

How many children can use the Bouncy Castle at the one time?

It’s recommended that no more than 8 children at a time. Please see bouncy castle descriptions for age/weight recommendations. It’s the weight that counts! So, really depends on the ages of children using the bouncy castles and size of the bouncy castle hired. Remember safety is paramount and it is always better to have too few on, than too many.

Can adults use your Castles?

No. Our castles are strictly for children under 12 years (or younger for some castles). Please see castle descriptions for age limits.

What happens if it rains on the day?

Our smaller castles may fit in your garage or large indoor room so if the forecast is looking bad and you have planned an outdoor event, give us a call to discuss if your ordered castle will fit indoors or, if available, you could downsize to one that will. We cannot deliver our bouncy castles if it is raining or there are heavy winds forecast. If there is heavy rain/strong winds we will not deliver due to safety reasons. We will get in touch with you on the day to arrange another time, if required.

What happens if the Bouncy Castle deflates during the day of our hire?

First check the power cord hasn’t come unplugged, check that the inflation tube is still attached and the blower hasn’t been blocked. If this doesn’t solve the problem, contact us by phone ASAP and we will talk you through possible solutions. If the problem cannot be fixed and as long as it’s not due to mis-use of the bouncy castle and less than half way into your hire time, we will come out and replace it with another castle for the remainder of your hire period. Please note that replacement is dependent on availability and will that it will be a different themed castle. If we cannot offer a replacement, other options will be discussed.

What happens if we damage the Bouncy Castle?

If the damage is considered by us to be malicious then you will be liable to pay for all repairs/replacement and transport costs associated with having the castle repaired. If adults use a bouncy castle and it is damaged, then the above will also apply as these inflatables are specifically available for children only.

Do You Provide Supervision?

We do not provide supervision for our castles as a standard. However, we can provide a supervisor to supervise and operate your equipment from between $35 per hour subject to the type of event and equipment hired.
